Harbour Air to Acquire Pacific Coastal Airlines in Major B.C. Regional Merger
North America's largest seaplane operator, Harbour Air, has announced its acquisition of B.C.-based Pacific Coastal Airlines. The deal aims to create a more integrated and expansive transportation network across British Columbia. While the financial terms were not disclosed, both airlines will continue to operate under their existing brands for the time being. Pacific Coastal's CEO, Quentin Smith, will remain in his role to oversee the airline's operations. The combined entity will serve over 30 destinations with a mixed fleet of seaplanes and wheeled aircraft, pending regulatory approval expected in late 2024.
