Hainan Airlines Relaunches Direct Flights Between Edinburgh and Beijing
Hainan Airlines has officially resumed its direct flight service connecting Edinburgh, Scotland with Beijing, China. This key international route, which is Scotland's only direct air link to China, was suspended during the Covid-19 pandemic. The service will initially operate twice a week, with plans to increase frequency to four times a week during the peak summer season. Officials expect the reinstatement of the flights to provide a significant boost to tourism, education, and business links between the two countries.
