Hagerstown Aviation Museum Commissions Painting to Celebrate Local History

The Hagerstown Aviation Museum is honoring the region's rich aerospace heritage by commissioning a new painting. The artwork, created by artist Richard J. R. Stouffer, will depict iconic aircraft built in Hagerstown. Featured planes include the Fairchild PT-19 trainer, the C-82 Packet, and the C-119 Flying Boxcar. The original painting is set to be unveiled at the museum's upcoming "Wings & Wheels" event. Subsequently, prints of the piece will be sold to raise funds for the museum's preservation efforts.
