Hactl Advances Green Terminal Initiative with Enhanced Electric Vehicle Safety Measures
Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl) is accelerating its 'Green Terminal' project by replacing its diesel-powered ground support equipment with electric models. The initiative is part of a broader goal to operate a fully electric vehicle fleet by 2038. To ensure a safe transition, Hactl has implemented a comprehensive suite of new safety features for its electric vehicles. These enhancements include 'blue spot' warning lights, reversing cameras, sensors, and anti-crush systems to protect ground staff. A new 'Green Battery Room' with automated charging and advanced fire suppression technology has also been commissioned to support the growing electric fleet.
