French manufacturer Hélicoptères Guimbal is developing a new five-seat, single-turbine helicopter, a significant expansion from its current product line. The project, codenamed G8, marks the company's entry into the competitive light turbine market. This move builds on the global success of its two-seat piston-engine trainer, the Cabri G2. Founder Bruno Guimbal confirmed the program has been in development for several years. The new aircraft aims to leverage the company's reputation for safety, modern design, and advanced technology.
