Guernsey Airport Schedules Sunday Runway Closure for Major Maintenance Project
Guernsey Airport will close its runway for five hours on Sunday, 23 June, to facilitate essential maintenance work. The closure is scheduled from 12:00 to 17:00 BST as part of a comprehensive £24 million runway rehabilitation project. During this period, contractors will focus on replacing concrete bays at the western end of the runway. Airlines, including Aurigny and Blue Islands, have adjusted their schedules by retiming or cancelling flights to accommodate the works. This is the second of three planned Sunday closures for the ongoing project, with efforts made to minimize passenger disruption.
