Greece's Global Aviation SA Secures License for Private Ikaros Airport
Global Aviation SA has successfully obtained a license to construct and operate a new private airport in Greece. The facility, named Ikaros Airport, will be located in the Attica region, near Kalyvia, Thorikou. This project is a significant development for the company, which plans to use the airport as a new base for its pilot academy and private jet fleet. The investment is valued at €3.5 million and is expected to create approximately 100 new jobs. The new airport is also intended to help relieve general aviation traffic from Athens International Airport.
