Grant Aviation Plane Loses Cabin Door Mid-Flight, Lands Safely with No Injuries

A Grant Aviation flight experienced a significant in-flight incident when its rear cabin door detached shortly after taking off from Bethel, Alaska. The aircraft, a Cessna Grand Caravan, was en route to Kipnuk with a pilot and one passenger aboard. The pilot promptly declared an emergency and returned to the Bethel airport, executing a safe landing. Fortunately, neither the pilot nor the passenger sustained any injuries during the ordeal. The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board have been alerted to the event and are expected to launch an investigation into the cause of the door separation.
