Global Air Cargo Tonnages and Rates Stabilise After Recent Fluctuations
Global air cargo markets are showing signs of stabilization, according to recent data from WorldACD. In the latest reporting weeks, worldwide tonnages remained flat, following an expected dip after the Chinese Labour Day holiday. Average worldwide rates have also leveled off, holding steady around $2.50 per kilogram for the third consecutive week. While the overall market is stable, specific trade lanes show notable variations. The corridor from the Middle East & South Asia to Europe has seen significant rate increases, while transatlantic rates from Europe have continued to decline.
