Glasgow Prestwick and China Southern Mark One Year of Successful Cargo Operations
Glasgow Prestwick Airport is celebrating the first anniversary of its direct cargo service operated by China Southern Cargo. This route, which connects Prestwick with Zhengzhou, represents Scotland's only direct air freight link to China. Initially launched with three weekly flights, the service has expanded to four or five times a week due to strong demand. The Boeing 777 freighter primarily transports high-value Scottish exports, such as salmon, to the Chinese market. The partnership has successfully strengthened trade links by also facilitating the import of e-commerce goods into Scotland.
