Glasgow Prestwick Airport Inaugurates Direct Scheduled Cargo Service to Shanghai
Glasgow Prestwick Airport has launched a new, direct scheduled cargo service connecting Scotland with Shanghai, China. The route is operated twice a week by Hainan Airlines using a Boeing 747 freighter. This new air bridge is a significant development for Scottish trade, facilitating the export of key local products like salmon and oil & gas equipment. The service, established in partnership with freight forwarder Access Cargo, also supports the import of e-commerce goods from the major Chinese hub. The inaugural flight marked the beginning of a vital new trade connection for the region.
