Ghana's Africa World Airlines Set to Introduce First Embraer E190
Ghana's Africa World Airlines (AWA) is preparing to introduce its first Embraer E190 regional jet, marking a significant step in its fleet modernization. The aircraft, an ex-Airlink E190AR, is currently undergoing pre-delivery maintenance in Johannesburg before being re-registered in Ghana as 9G-AWA. This move represents a strategic diversification for the airline, which currently operates an all-ERJ 145 fleet. The introduction of the larger E190 will allow AWA to increase capacity and potentially enhance its services on key domestic and regional West African routes.
