Gatwick Airport Rolls Out Next-Generation Security Scanners in North Terminal
Gatwick Airport has installed new advanced security scanners throughout its North Terminal. This next-generation technology allows travelers to leave large electronics, such as laptops, and liquids up to two litres in their hand luggage. The upgrade is designed to significantly speed up security processing and enhance the passenger experience. While the North Terminal is now fully equipped, Gatwick, like many other UK airports, has missed the government's 1 June deadline for a full rollout across all terminals. The new system creates a 3D image of bags, improving security detection.
