Gatwick Airport Braces for New Wave of Ground Staff Strikes
Ground handlers at London's Gatwick Airport have announced fresh strike action over pay disputes, threatening further summer travel disruption. Members of the Unite union working for Red Handling and Wilson James will walk out for eight days across two weekends in late August. The industrial action is scheduled from August 18th to 21st and again from August 25th to 29th. Several international airlines, including Norse Atlantic, Norwegian, and Delta, are expected to be impacted by the walkouts. Gatwick Airport has stated it will support its airline partners with contingency plans and has advised passengers to check with their carrier for the latest flight information.
