Gatwick Airport Activates New £10m Next-Generation Security Scanners
London's Gatwick Airport has officially launched its new £10 million next-generation security screening area in the North Terminal. This advanced technology allows passengers to leave large electronics and liquids up to two litres inside their hand luggage. The upgrade is designed to streamline the security process and significantly improve the passenger experience by reducing preparation time. While the North Terminal is now operational, the installation in the South Terminal is expected to be completed by early 2025.
