GA-ASI and US Air Force Resume YFQ-42A CCA Flight Testing After Software Upgrades

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) and the U.S. Air Force have resumed flight testing for the YFQ-42A Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA). The program was temporarily paused to implement crucial software updates designed to enhance the unmanned aircraft's autonomous capabilities and mission systems. This return to flight marks a significant step forward in the development and validation of the advanced CCA platform. The YFQ-42A is a central component of the Air Force's Next Generation Air Dominance (NGAD) initiative, envisioned to serve as an autonomous wingman for manned fighters.
