Frontier Airlines Sells 11 Airbus A321neos to Avolon in Sale-and-Leaseback Deal
Frontier Airlines has announced a deal to sell 11 of its Airbus A321neo aircraft to the global leasing company Avolon. The agreement is structured as a sale-and-leaseback transaction, meaning Frontier will continue to operate the jets. This strategic move is expected to generate approximately $222 million in net cash proceeds for the airline in the second quarter of 2024. The aircraft involved in the deal were delivered in 2023 and are scheduled for delivery in 2024. The transaction allows Frontier to enhance its liquidity while maintaining its modern, fuel-efficient fleet.
