Fresno Pilot Succumbs to Injuries Following Sierra Sky Park Crash
A 67-year-old Fresno pilot, identified as Clay Brandes, has died from injuries sustained in a plane crash. The incident occurred on April 12, when his single-engine, homebuilt aircraft crashed near Sierra Sky Park shortly after takeoff. Brandes was transported to a hospital with serious injuries and passed away on April 27, as confirmed by his wife. He was described as an experienced pilot. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) are investigating the cause of the crash.
