Former NTSB Chairman Jim Hall to be Inducted into Tennessee Aviation Hall of Fame
Former National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) Chairman Jim Hall is being inducted into the Tennessee Aviation Hall of Fame. He served as the NTSB chairman from 1994 to 2001 after being appointed by President Bill Clinton. His tenure was notably marked by his leadership following the 1996 ValuJet Flight 592 crash in the Florida Everglades. The investigation into the disaster led to major safety reforms, including the mandatory installation of smoke detectors and fire suppression systems in aircraft cargo holds.
