FlyOne Signs Provisional Agreement for 10 Meridian Jet MDA1 Eviator Hybrid-Electric Aircraft

Moldovan low-cost carrier FlyOne has signed a provisional agreement to acquire 10 MDA1 Eviator aircraft from the new U.S. manufacturer, Meridian Jet. The letter of intent also includes options for an additional 10 planes. This marks the first commitment from a European airline for the new hybrid-electric, 19-seat regional aircraft. The MDA1 Eviator is designed to reduce fuel consumption and emissions by up to 50 percent compared to contemporary turboprops. FlyOne plans to deploy these aircraft to enhance connectivity between smaller cities in Eastern Europe, with entry into service targeted for late 2028.
