Flybe Revival Hopes Grounded as Administrators Cancel Asset Sale
The planned sale of the brand and assets belonging to the collapsed UK airline Flybe has been terminated. Administrators from Interpath Advisory cancelled the deal with a US-led consortium, stating the prospective buyers had not met their obligations. This decision effectively ends the most recent hope of reviving the regional carrier, which ceased trading for the second time in January 2023. The administrators are now considering alternative options, which could include selling the remaining assets on a piece-by-piece basis. The original sale was reportedly contingent on securing valuable landing and take-off slots at key airports.
