Flybe Administrators Sue HSBC, Alleging Bank's Actions Caused Airline's Collapse

Administrators for the collapsed UK airline Flybe have launched a lawsuit against the global bank HSBC. The legal action alleges that HSBC's failure to provide essential banking services was a critical factor in the airline's second failure in January 2023. The administrators, Interpath Advisory, claim the bank's decision to withdraw services left Flybe unable to accept customer card payments, directly leading to its collapse. They are now seeking damages that could potentially exceed £33 million. HSBC has declined to comment on the ongoing legal proceedings.
