Family of Pilot Killed in Miami Cargo Crash Sues Atlas Air and Amazon
The family of Robert Arkin, the pilot who died in a cargo plane crash at Miami International Airport, has filed a wrongful death lawsuit. The Atlas Air Boeing 767, operating for Amazon's Prime Air, went down shortly after takeoff. The lawsuit, filed against both Atlas Air and Amazon, claims the aircraft was defectively designed and improperly maintained. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is investigating the crash, with a preliminary report pointing to a possible engine malfunction. Arkin's family is seeking substantial damages for their loss and suffering.
