FAA Suspends Houston-Based Starflite Aviation Over Allegedly Falsified Pilot Training Records
The Federal Aviation Administration has issued an emergency suspension of the air carrier certificate for Starflite Aviation, a Houston-based charter company. The FAA alleges the company knowingly used unqualified pilots and deliberately falsified training and qualification records. According to the agency, top management, including the director of operations and chief pilot, were involved in creating the fraudulent documents. These falsified records reportedly covered essential ground training, flight checks, and competency assessments for several pilots. The suspension effectively grounds the airline, which the FAA claims demonstrated it is unwilling or unable to comply with safety regulations.
