FAA Revokes Air Carrier Certificate for Houston-Based Starflite Aviation
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued an emergency order to revoke the air carrier certificate of Starflite Aviation, a Houston-based charter company. The agency alleges the company conducted at least 38 unauthorized charter flights between August 2022 and January 2024. According to the FAA, these flights were operated with a pilot who was not properly qualified for the specific Cessna CitationJet aircraft used. The regulator identified the unqualified pilot as the company's owner, Robert E. Slingluff, Sr. Starflite Aviation has ten days to appeal the emergency revocation order.
