FAA Program Aims to Transition Advanced Air Mobility From Demonstrations to Operations
The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration has launched the Early Implementation and Prototyping Program (EIPP) to accelerate the deployment of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM). This initiative is designed to help companies move beyond technology demonstrations and into real-world operational environments. Through the EIPP, AAM developers can gain valuable experience by conducting limited, early-stage flights to gather data on aircraft performance and airspace integration. The program's goal is to create a structured pathway toward certification and the eventual launch of commercial air taxi services. This represents a critical step in bridging the gap between testing and routine AAM operations in the national airspace.
