FAA Program Aims to Shift Advanced Air Mobility From Demonstration to Operations
The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration has launched the Early Implementation & Partnership Program (EIPP) to accelerate the transition of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) into commercial service. This initiative moves beyond isolated demonstrations, focusing on establishing the necessary infrastructure and operational procedures for regular flights. Seven AAM developers, including Archer, Joby, and Boeing's Wisk, have been selected as the initial partners. The EIPP will facilitate crucial data sharing and collaboration between the FAA and these companies to refine certification, air traffic integration, and operational safety.
