FAA Panel Finds Serious Flaws in Boeing's Safety Culture, Demands Action
US regulators have ordered Boeing to improve its safety culture following a comprehensive review by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). An expert panel found a significant "disconnect" between the company's senior management and its workforce regarding safety issues. The report identified numerous deficiencies in Boeing's safety management systems and noted that procedures were often complicated and constantly changing. It also highlighted a fear of retaliation among employees who might report safety concerns. Boeing now has 90 days to present a detailed plan to the FAA to address the report's numerous recommendations.
