FAA Moves to Revoke Houston-Based Starflite Aviation's Certificate Over Falsified Pilot Records
The Federal Aviation Administration is seeking to revoke the operating certificate of Houston-based charter company Starflite Aviation. The agency accuses the company's director of operations, Dana Mackay, of knowingly falsifying pilot training and qualification records. These falsifications allegedly include critical proficiency and instrument competency checks for Mackay and at least six other pilots. The FAA contends that these actions represent an unacceptable risk to public safety. As a result, the agency has also issued an emergency order to revoke Mackay's personal pilot certificate.
