FAA Launches Key Program to Move Advanced Air Mobility From Demos to Operations
The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration has initiated its Early Implementation Program Partners (EIPP) to accelerate the integration of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM). This program signals a significant shift from technology demonstrations to establishing real-world commercial operations for electric air taxis. Through the EIPP, the FAA and industry stakeholders will test operational concepts, gather data, and refine procedures for eVTOL aircraft. The effort focuses on key areas like air traffic management, infrastructure requirements, and regulatory frameworks. This strategic move aims to prepare the national airspace for the first certified AAM vehicles, expected as early as 2025.
