FAA Approves Higher Maximum Take-Off Weight for Boeing 787-9 and 787-10 Models
The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has officially certified an increased Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) for the Boeing 787-9 and 787-10. This approval raises the MTOW for both variants to 254,188 kilograms. The change allows the aircraft to carry more payload or fuel, thereby enhancing their range and operational flexibility. This certification brings the US-approved specifications in line with those already cleared by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). The upgrade is available for newly built Dreamliners and can also be retrofitted onto existing in-service aircraft.
