F-15 Suffers Landing Incident at Eielson AFB; Pilot Safe, Airfield Closed
An F-15 aircraft from the California Air National Guard experienced an incident upon landing at Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska, on July 1, 2024. The event occurred around 10:15 a.m. during routine training operations. Officials have confirmed that the pilot is safe and did not sustain any injuries. As a result of the incident, the airfield is currently closed to all air traffic. An official investigation into the cause is now underway.
