European Cargo Ceases Operations, Citing Financial and Market Pressures
UK-based all-cargo airline European Cargo has ceased trading and appointed administrators, grounding its entire fleet. The company attributed its collapse to an unforgiving market characterized by weak demand and persistent overcapacity. Launched in 2022, the carrier operated a fleet of converted Airbus A340 freighters from its base in Bournemouth. Despite efforts to secure business and funding, it was ultimately unable to survive the challenging post-pandemic air freight environment.
