EU Sees Major Growth in Sustainable Aviation Fuel Availability, New Report Finds
A new report from the Clean Skies for Tomorrow Coalition shows significant progress in the availability of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) across the European Union. According to the findings, SAF production has increased by 200% over the last two years. The number of airports offering SAF has also more than tripled, rising from 15 in 2024 to over 50 currently. The report credits the ReFuelEU Aviation initiative as a key driver for this expansion. While challenges related to cost and feedstock supply persist, the data suggests the EU is on track to meet its 2030 targets.
