Etihad Cargo Delivers Critical 100-Tonne Ebola Relief Shipment to DRC
A major humanitarian aid shipment of 100 tonnes has been delivered to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to support the nation's Ebola response. The complex operation was managed by charter specialist Chapman Freeborn on behalf of the World Health Organization. Etihad Cargo operated the Boeing 777 freighter flight from Abu Dhabi to Kinshasa. The critical cargo included personal protective equipment, diagnostics, and treatment supplies. This delivery is part of a larger WHO initiative to distribute 1,400 tonnes of medical equipment across 41 countries.
