Ethiopian Airlines Reports 20% Revenue Jump to $9.1 Billion
Ethiopian Airlines Group has announced a significant 20% increase in revenue, reaching $9.1 billion for its 2023-24 fiscal year. This growth was fueled by a 21% surge in passenger numbers, with the airline carrying 17.1 million people. The carrier's net profit also rose by 14% to $625 million. Furthermore, its cargo division saw a 13% increase in freight transported, handling 715,000 tonnes. The airline expanded its network by 15 destinations and grew its fleet to 150 aircraft, solidifying its position as a leading African carrier.
