Engine Fire Forces Air India Express Flight to Make Emergency Landing in Bengaluru

An Air India Express flight bound for Kochi made an emergency landing back in Bengaluru shortly after takeoff due to a fire in one of its engines. The crew of the Boeing 737-800 detected the fire and immediately initiated a return to the airport. A full-scale emergency was declared, and the aircraft landed safely. All 179 passengers and six crew members were evacuated without injury. India's aviation regulator, the DGCA, is investigating the incident.
