Emirates SkyCargo Introduces First Converted Boeing 777-300ER Freighter
Emirates SkyCargo has officially launched its first newly converted Boeing 777-300ER special freighter. The aircraft, part of a passenger-to-freighter (P2F) conversion program with Israel Aerospace Industries, completed its inaugural commercial flight from Hong Kong to Dubai. The conversion involved removing all passenger seats to create a "Class E" freighter main deck, adding significant cargo capacity. This is the first of ten B777-300ERs that Emirates plans to convert. The program aims to supplement the airline's existing fleet of factory-built Boeing 777F aircraft and enhance its global cargo operations.
