Emirates A380 Makes Emergency Landing at Gatwick After Technical Fault
An Emirates Airbus A380, the world's largest passenger aircraft, conducted an emergency landing at London's Gatwick Airport. The flight from Dubai declared the emergency due to a technical fault with its flaps just before its scheduled arrival. The superjumbo landed safely and was met by airport emergency services as a standard precaution. Following the landing, the aircraft had to be towed from the runway as the issue prevented it from taxiing to the stand. The subsequent return flight to Dubai was cancelled to allow for engineering inspections.
