EasyJet Flight from Gatwick to Pisa Diverted After Reports of Smoke

An easyJet flight traveling from London Gatwick to Pisa was forced to divert to Lyon, France, on Sunday evening. The pilots of flight EZY8201 made the decision as a precaution following reports of a smell of smoke in the cabin. The Airbus A320 landed safely and was met by emergency services as is standard procedure for such incidents. Passengers were provided with overnight hotel accommodation and were scheduled to complete their journey the following day.
