East Midlands Airport 'Confident' Ahead of Busiest Summer Since 2019
East Midlands Airport (EMA) is preparing for its busiest summer season since before the pandemic, anticipating over 2.5 million passengers. This figure represents an 11% increase compared to the same period last year. To manage the expected surge in travelers, the airport has recruited approximately 350 new staff members. Officials are advising passengers to arrive at least two hours before their scheduled flight departure. The summer schedule will also feature new routes, including flights to Salerno, Italy.
