Dubai Partners with Skyports to Develop Air Taxi Vertiport Network for 2026 Launch
Skyports Infrastructure has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the UAE's General Civil Aviation Authority to develop a regulatory framework for electric air taxi vertiports. This agreement solidifies the partnership to design, implement, and certify the infrastructure needed for commercial eVTOL operations. Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) previously selected Skyports to build and operate these vertiports across the city. The collaboration is a critical step toward launching air taxi services, with initial sites planned near Dubai International Airport and Dubai Marina. The ambitious project aims to have the network operational and services running for the public by 2026.
