DSV and Chicago Rockford Airport Launch New Cargolux Freighter Service to Luxembourg
Chicago Rockford International Airport (RFD) is expanding its partnership with the global logistics company DSV. The collaboration introduces a new, scheduled weekly flight connecting RFD directly to Luxembourg (LUX). This new transatlantic route will be operated by a Cargolux Boeing 747 freighter, one of the largest cargo aircraft in service. The service is part of the DSV Air & Sea's 'Gateway' strategy, enhancing logistics capabilities between the US Midwest and key European hubs. This expansion builds upon the successful DSV-operated flights from RFD to Shanghai, which began in 2021, further solidifying the airport's role as a major air cargo alternative.
