Drone Delivery Firm Matternet Completes Public Listing, Raises $33 Million
Drone delivery system developer Matternet has completed its business combination with Volatus Aerospace Corp., officially becoming a publicly traded company. The combined entity, which retains the Matternet name, successfully raised $33 million through a mix of debt and equity financing. Its common shares will now trade on the OTCQB Venture Market under the ticker symbol 'MTTR'. The new capital will fuel the company's growth, including expanding its drone delivery operations in key markets like Switzerland, the U.S., and the Middle East. This move follows Matternet's landmark achievement as the first company to receive FAA Type Certification for a drone delivery system.
