Dozens Injured After 'Technical Event' on LATAM Boeing 787 Flight
A LATAM Airlines Boeing 787 flight from Sydney to Auckland experienced a severe mid-air drop caused by a 'technical event'. Approximately 50 people required medical assessment upon landing, with around 12 being transported to the hospital. One passenger is reported to be in a serious condition. The incident caused passengers to be thrown into the ceiling of the aircraft. The airline is cooperating with authorities to investigate the cause of the sudden altitude loss.
