Do228 NXT Secures AURA AERO as Launch Customer for Humanitarian Operations
General Atomics AeroTec Systems has secured the first customer for its new Do228 NXT aircraft. French company AURA AERO signed a Letter of Intent for one aircraft, which will be deployed for humanitarian missions. The plane is set to perform logistics and air ambulance services in challenging environments across Africa. The Do228 NXT is a modernised version of the classic Dornier 228, featuring a new glass cockpit and enhanced capabilities for short, unprepared runways. This makes it ideally suited for the demands of remote humanitarian aid delivery.
