DHL Express Deploys AI to Automate Customs Processing for E-commerce
DHL Express has launched a new artificial intelligence tool designed to automate the generation of customs item details for international shipments. The feature, developed with partner Hurricane and called Aura, is now integrated into DHL's Global-e platform. It automatically provides accurate Harmonized System (HS6) codes, import/export classifications, and clear product descriptions. This automation is intended to improve compliance and data accuracy for cross-border e-commerce. By streamlining this process, DHL aims to reduce delays, potential fines, and the number of returned shipments for its customers.
