Delta Suspends Specialty Airport Services for U.S. Congress
Delta Air Lines has discontinued its dedicated airport services for members of the U.S. Congress at Washington's Reagan National Airport (DCA). This program, a legacy from Northwest Airlines, previously offered lawmakers a special desk for assistance with ticketing and travel issues. The airline stated the change was made to provide a consistent level of service to all its customers. This decision comes at a time when airlines are under increased scrutiny regarding customer service and operational performance. While other carriers offer similar congressional liaison programs, Delta is the first to publicly end its dedicated airport-based assistance.
