Delta Delays New Lie-Flat First Class Seats for A321neo Fleet Until 2028
Delta Air Lines has postponed the introduction of its new lie-flat first-class suites on its Airbus A321neo aircraft. The highly anticipated cabin upgrade, designed to offer a premium transcontinental experience, is now scheduled for a 2028 debut, a significant delay from the original 2026 plan. As a result, 44 new A321neos will be delivered with the airline's current, standard recliner-style first-class seats. The delay is attributed to challenges with suppliers responsible for the new seat design. Delta has confirmed that these initial aircraft will be retrofitted with the new lie-flat product once it becomes available.
