Delta Delays A321neo Lie-Flat First Class Rollout Until 2028
Delta Air Lines has postponed the introduction of its new domestic First Class lie-flat seats for the Airbus A321neo fleet. The airline will now continue to operate 44 of these aircraft with the current standard recliner-style First Class seats until at least 2028. This delay is attributed to ongoing supply chain constraints and complex certification processes for the new premium product. The highly anticipated seats, designed to offer a suite-like experience with privacy doors, were a key feature for premium transcontinental routes. Consequently, passengers expecting the upgraded cabin on these specific A321neos will have to wait several more years.
